DMCC – the world’s flagship Free Zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise – has announced that global financial expert, author and commentator Peter Schiff, will give a keynote at the upcoming Dubai Precious Metals Conference (DPMC) on 21-22 November.
A financial professional for over twenty years, Peter Schiff achieved global notoriety in 2008 as being one of the few economists to have accurately forecast the financial crisis well in advance. Today he is the owner of Euro Pacific Asset Management, Chief Economist and Global Strategist for Euro Pacific Capital (a division of Alliance Global Partners), and Chairman of SchiffGold (a precious metals dealer based out of Manhattan). He is also the host of The Peter Schiff Show Podcast where he delivers expertise on money, economic theory, and international investing.
During the keynote he will share his insights and opinions on topics such as the end of dollar hegemony, the demise of Bitcoin, the future of blockchain and crypto, and the global remonetisation of gold.
Peter Schiff said: “Now is a fascinating time for global precious metals. We are witnessing skyrocketing demand and stockpiling of gold as investors continue to lose confidence in the ability of central banks to rein in inflation. This adds to a confluence of other factors not least the significant turbulence in crypto markets. So I am delighted to be in Dubai for this very timely and important conference.”
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, DMCC, said: “To have someone of Peter Schiff’s calibre and expertise is the perfect way to mark the DPMC’s 10th anniversary. Peter is one of the world’s foremost experts and commentators when it comes to financial markets, especially on gold, and I personally cannot wait to hear his insights first hand. We have, even by our own high standards, an exceptionally strong pool of speakers this year covering some of the most topical issues affecting precious metals markets.”
The DPMC is held annually by DMCC and celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2022 under the theme of “The Future of Trade in Precious Metals”. It will gather public and private sector industry leaders from across the world to discuss the most important and impactful trends within the global precious metals industry.
