DMCC – the world’s flagship Free Zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise – and Bull&Roo Hospitality and Investments today announced their second partnership. A new retail and F&B concept is set to launch in Q2 2021 in the heart of the Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) Central Park, perfectly positioned for the JLT community of over 100,000 people.

DMCC signed a 10-year lease agreement, which will entail the delivery of a bespoke 3-level community retail and F&B space, with Bull&Roo, who are famous for pioneering homegrown and socially responsible concepts such as, Tom&Serg, The Sum Of Us and Common Grounds. DMCC will manage the unique design, build and delivery of the retail space, whilst Bull&Roo will bring the concept to life through the interiors, conceptualisation and retail operations of the space.

The partnership is part of DMCC’s plans to enhance the JLT lifestyle offering to both residents and visitors, reinforcing JLT as vibrant urban district. The partnership demonstrates DMCC’s commitment to working side by side with partners and member companies, catering to their space needs and encouraging ambitious businesses within both the retail and business sectors to set up in JLT.

Designed to offer a variety of dining options to explore, the community-focused retail hub will spread over 3 levels of c.12,000 sq/ft of indoor and outdoor space, offering a casual and contemporary dining experience. The ground floor will include a café, bakery and healthy food for the daily routine, in addition to a kids’ playground while Level 1 will be a modern eatery with woodfire pizza oven and an alfresco dining option on the rooftop.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, DMCC, said: “We are delighted to partner with Bull & Roo for the second time, and proud that they chose the vibrant JLT community for their latest project. The concept that we are designing and building is truly unique. “JLT is already one of the most active, diverse and dynamic communities in the city. With enhanced retail offerings and even more exciting lifestyle experiences available, DMCC is taking JLT to the next level and setting in stone its reputation as Dubai’s destination of choice  to live, work and thrive,” he added.

Tom Arnel, Managing Director, Bull&Roo Hospitality and Investments added: “Our focus continues to be on anticipating the retail needs and desires of our clientele across Dubai. As we look to continue our expansion of inclusive and accessible concepts for Dubai residents to enjoy, we were thrilled to be introduced to the location and surrounding area by DMCC. We want to give the Dubai resident a place where all are welcome, a true community hub that becomes a home away from home for all occasions. Bull&Roo always aims to be ahead of the game in terms of trends and food quality and we continue to do this as we expand and develop new projects for the region.”

DMCC first partnered with Bull&Roo Hospitality and Investments in April 2019 by bringing Common Grounds to Almas Tower. JLT has seen its retail space grow to 835 outlets including famous F&B international and home-grown brands such as Jamie Oliver Pizzeria, Pickl Burger, Mythos, Nola and UBK.
