DMCC EMPLOYEES CELEBRATE 42nd UAE NATIONAL DAY

Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), the Government of Dubai Authority with a mandate to establish Dubai as the global gateway for commodity trade and enterprise, celebrated the UAE National Day at Almas Tower in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, to mark the unification of the seven Emirates in 1971.

Addressing DMCC employees, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DMCC’s Executive Chairman, said:

The UAE National Day signifies that the impossible is possible, just look at the UAE’s achievements over the last 42 years and how as one country we are continuously driven to excel regionally and internationally.

Under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan the late President of the UAE, Dubai and the UAE have become a place that offers opportunities for everyone. This is the true spirit of the UAE.

As our foreign relations grow stronger every day we will continue to make this a reality under the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.”

Over 200 DMCC employees celebrated UAE National Day organised by its Torathi team – a DMCC entity whose mission is to promote national identity and cultural traditions in line with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai’s vision for all government authorities.

DMCC employees enjoyed a spectacular event with traditional Emirati food and cutting of the UAE cake, folklore dancing, henna painting - and witnessed the release of hundreds of balloons outside Almas Tower, the tallest commercial tower in the Middle East.

With 66 mixed-use commercial and residential towers and over 220 retail outlets in operation, there are currently over 80,000 people working and living within the DMCC Free Zone in Dubai. With an average of 200 companies choosing to join DMCC each month and a 94% retention rate, DMCC remains the UAE’s largest and fastest growing free zone with over 7,600 member companies.
