DMCC has two accreditation initiatives
The DGD standard was developed by DMCC in 2005 and is regarded as the international benchmark for quality and technical specification for the production of gold and/or silver. For gold refineries, the certification also includes responsible sourcing of gold in accordance with the ‘DMCC Rules for Risk-Based Due Diligence for Gold and Precious Metals’.
MDB is an accreditation initiative that certifies gold and silver refineries (with a minimum of one year of operations) for their quality and technical production of gold and/or silver. Membership is renewable annually.
The above accreditation initiatives are regulated by the DMCC’s Consolidated Accreditation Rules. To access a copy, please click here. The DMCC Accreditation Rules replaces earlier versions of the DGD and MDB Rules and is effective from 30 September 2020.
