The Energy Club is a not for profit initiative which aims to cultivate a dynamic network of energy professionals and create a collaborative environment in which discussion, debate and knowledge sharing can flourish.
The group values are: Innovation - Communication - Collaboration.
The Energy Club holds regular collaborative meetings between energy industry participants irrespective of the location of their activity. The predominant purpose of the Energy Club is to share know-how and serve as a platform for members to ask questions or share ideas that may improve the industry.
The Energy Club has sub-groups and targeted events to deal with numerous topics involved in the energy industry. Further sub-groups may also be formed upon members’ requests to capture a particular market, geography or support service (e.g. HR, Finance, etc).
The Energy Club aims to provide maximum value for members by listening to their needs and providing opportunity to raise and discuss hot-topics. It will provide news and views throughout the industry including technical, economic, legal and other relevant areas with support from the members.
The Energy Club will ensure Members’ privacy and will operate under the Chatham House Rule (not quoting or attributing the views presented in the meetings without the consent of the person or the group).
Furthermore, certain levels of membership are exclusive to select participants based on established criteria. Key members of the Energy Club will avail exclusive benefits and exclusive access to certain knowledge-sharing events.
In general, in order to obtain membership a company or individual must be active in the industry and have a recommendation of 2 current key members of the club.
The Energy Club will be suitable for all companies and individuals taking part in the Energy Industry whether upstream, trading or refining
The purpose of the club is to improve the industry and share knowledge and most companies are welcome to contribute to the discussions. One criterion that remains consistent is that the participants of the Energy Club must be involved directly in the industry.
The Energy Club is organised by the DMCC which allows it to use the iconic Almas Tower, the tallest commercial tower in the Middle East. At 360 metres the Almas Tower stands at the centre of the DMCC Free Zone and is the HQ for the DMCC, the Diamond Exchange and other commodity related businesses. Almas Tower will also be the home of the Energy Club.
The Energy Club benefits from access to the Almas Tower Conference Centre as well as other venues convenient for holding seminars and networking events. Almas Tower also benefits from easy access via Metro (Jumeirah Lakes Towers Station) as well as ample parking and easy access via Sheikh Zayed Road.
