Shiraz is highly rated for his contentious and non-contentious employment work and advises multinationals and local companies on all aspects of UAE Labour Law and DIFC Employment Law issues. He is recognised as “one to watch” by Chambers and Partners. 

Shiraz's practice covers both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. From a non-contentious perspective, he regularly advises on offer letters, employment, consultancy and secondment contracts; provides advice on immigration and visa requirements; medicals and certification of documents, and frequently reviews employee handbooks and company policies to ensure they are updated and in accordance with the local legislation.

He also has extensive experience advising on terminations and the visa cancellation process and specialises in running complex disciplinary procedures from commencement through to completion. Shiraz also works closely with local counsel filing claims with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and is a frequent user of the DIFC Courts Small Claims Tribunal and the DIFC Court of First Instance.

Thenji Moyo is a UK trained and qualified specialist Employment Legal Director advising on all UAE and DIFC employment law. Thenji is ranked in Chambers and Partners and as "Associate to Watch". Thenji has extensive experience working in employment law advising blue chip, multinational, regional, local and private clients from all industry sectors. She advises on complex employment issues, which include global mobility of employees, cross-jurisdictional matters including temporary assignment, secondment, cross border engagement.  

She has particular expertise in advising on all HR issues including recruitment, termination, employment disputes, corporate reorganisation, mergers and acquisitions, terms and conditions, company policies and procedures.

Thenji works closely with the employment local litigation counsel to file employment claims at the Dubai Courts via the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and she is a legal practitioner registered with the DIFC Courts.

Ali has over 7 years of experience in advising on employment matters. During his practice, he has advised and represented a considerable number of clients in employment disputes. As a result of his clients being a combination of employers and employees, Ali can tackle employment laws and disputes from a very reasonable and goal oriented standpoint, ensuring the ultimate possible positive outcome. 

Ali's involvement in employment matters starts from drafting employment offers and agreements all the way up to enforcing final courts' judgments. His experience covers all the stages that an employment relationship may go through, be it interviewing candidates, drafting and negotiating employment offers and contracts, terminating employment relationships, mediating disputes, negotiating settlement terms and/or amicable terminations. Whenever negotiations and amicable settlements are not a valid option, Ali has extensive experience in litigating employment disputes

Ali is fluent in both English and Arabic.
