Shiraz is highly rated for his contentious and non-contentious employment work, and advises multinationals and local companies on all aspects of UAE labour law and DIFC employment law issues.
His practice covers both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. From a non-contentious perspective, he regularly advises on offer letters, employment, consultancy and secondment contracts; provides advice on immigration and visa requirements, medicals and certification of documents; and frequently reviews employee handbooks and company policies to ensure they are updated and in accordance with local legislation.
He also has extensive experience advising on terminations and the visa cancellation process, and specializes in running complex disciplinary procedures from commencement through to completion.

Ali is a legal manager in Dentons’ Dubai office. He is a member of the Employment and the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice groups.
Ali’s focus is on litigation before the local courts, negotiations and amicable settlements. His practice includes real estate disputes, debts default, breach of contracts and abuse of rights. He also advises corporates on employment contracts, policies and various employment disputes. He also participated in drafting the DIFC Presidential Directive No. 4 of 2020 in respect of COVID-19 emergency employment measures, and the DMCC Employment Guidelines during the COVID-19 Precautionary Measures Period.
