As a financial services specialist with more than 25 years of experience, Peter has provided tax advice to clients taking into account industry issues, particularly from a risk and regulation perspective. His expertise also includes international tax and structuring advice for banks, intermediaries, asset and wealth managers and insurance companies, particularly on double tax treaties and implications of the OECD BEPS/EU anti avoidance process, tax governance and compliance outsourcing and managed services.

Maggie has over 15 years of international tax experience, and has focused on advising governments and authorities since 2018. Her previous experience on providing international tax advice to large multinationals, sovereign wealth funds and private equity houses has allowed her to combine her commercial insights to support her clients, including developing policy directions on economic substance regulations and implications of other international tax reforms driven by the EU/OECD BEPS agenda.

JAMES POLLARD

 

James is a partner at PwC UAE and is currently leading the economic substance regulations team that supports the private sector at PwC. He has over 20 years of international tax and M&A experience both within PwC in London, New York and the Middle East, as well as in-house as a senior level Tax Director at two leading Middle East government related investment entities (Abu Dhabi and Dubai). His clients invest in and operate across the aviation, financial services, oil & gas and e-commerce sectors, where he primarily assists with tax structuring and transaction due diligence.

Tatyana is a senior manager in the PwC UAE M&A and International Tax practice. She is currently running the economic substance regulations team that supports the private sector at PwC together with James Pollard. She has 12 years of tax experience working with PwC, with the last 7 years focusing on international tax structuring and M&A across a range of industries and countries in the Middle East and internationally.

Dimah is a senior associate in the M&A and international tax practice in the UAE. She is part of the economic substance regulations team that supports the private sector at PwC and has assisted multiple clients with their ESR work. She has over 4 years of international tax experience, and has been involved in a wide range of global, domestic and cross-border transactions including acquisitions, reorganisations and restructuring across several industries.
