Dubai: Global Hub for Blockchain and Crypto

About the event

A culture of open-mindedness and a willingness to diversify has always resulted in Dubai being at the very forefront of supporting, embracing, and deploying ground-breaking technology.

The support of the Tech sector continues to be clearly demonstrated through recent initiatives such as the Dubai Blockchain Strategy, revamped telehealth regulations, and the recently introduced Crypto Asset regulations. One clear advantage that the UAE maintains is the clarity of its regulations across technology applications and digital assets; providing a clear framework and raising the confidence of companies and individuals that are operating in this space.

Over the past few years, we have seen the rise and increasing acceptance of Crypto and the fast development of what is now known as the Token Economy. Bitcoin has evolved from being the original cryptocurrency used primarily as a means of speculation into what is now seen as a revolutionary product that is changing the nature of all transactions.

What is less understood is the greater significance of the underlying blockchain technology on which Bitcoin is built. This technology whose unique capabilities that are being leveraged to enhance supply chains, financial services, healthcare records, government services and countless other business processes.

The ambition to embrace blockchain is not limited to its capability in the enhancement of countless business services but with more than 68 million global blockchain wallets holding hundreds of billions of Euros in liquid assets, Dubai is also keen to attract businesses from throughout the crypto asset and digital token sector.
