AHMED BIN SULAYEM

Tasked with enhancing commodity trade flows through Dubai, DMCC has introduced to market a number of value-added products and services under Mr Bin Sulayem’s leadership. In 2019, DMCC was named the ‘Global Free Zone of the Year’ by The Financial Times fDi Magazine, for a record fifth consecutive year.

Mr Bin Sulayem oversaw the exponential growth of the DMCC Free Zone master development in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a 200-hectare business and residential community in Dubai of over 100,000 people living and working across 68 towers. Mr Bin Sulayem also oversees the development of DMCC’s latest real estate project; the much-anticipated Uptown Dubai district.

Mr Bin Sulayem currently serves as the Chairman of the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) and the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX).

The Kimberley Process officially appointed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the first and only Arab country to Chair the Kimberley Process in November 2015. Shortly after, the UAE Ministry of Economy officially appointed Mr Bin Sulayem as the UAE’s Chair of the Kimberley Process for 2016.

Ian Halliday

Ian joined Austrade in July 2018 as General Manager – Middle East and Africa with responsibility for Austrade operations across the region. He also holds the position of Consul-General of Australia to Dubai.

Prior to joining Austrade Ian was Managing Director of Dairy Australia from January 2010.

Ian's expertise includes an extensive range of management roles with SPC, Goodman Fielder, Kraft Foods, KR Castlemaine and Vesco Foods.

At Vesco Foods and KR Castlemaine he was the CEO, responsible for leading transformational change at both organisations.

Whilst at Kraft Foods, Ian was Director of Operations responsible for all manufacturing and supply chain activities for the Kraft Australia organisation. He was also responsible for all Kraft Australia Export business, most of which included sales into Asia and the Middle East. His last appointment at Kraft Foods was the Director of Coffee Operations based in the United Kingdom.

Ian has a Bachelors in Applied Sciences (Food Tech) from Hawkesbury Agricultural College. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), and a former Director of Agrifood at Skills Australia, and GOTAFE.


RALF GLABISCHNIG

Mr Glabischnig is a founder and board member of Crypto Valley Venture Capital (CV VC) and CV Labs, which is a Blockchain co-working hub in Zug, Vaduz and Dubai.

He is also the initiator of Europe's largest Blockchain Competition and co-founder of the Crypto Valley Association and Swiss Blockchain Federation, he is committed to developing the blockchain ecosystem both in Switzerland and worldwide.


MATT DIXON

MATT DIXON

With a Masters Degree in Finance and Investment, in addition to over 30 years worth of experience since first becoming a regulated Financial Advisor in the UK, Matthew has worked at the highest level throughout his career.

He designed and implemented the 'Falcon Systematic FX Strategy,' which was crowned 'Best Multi-Factor Macro Strategy' at the 2019 Alternative Investment Awards organised by Wealth and Finance.

He has also managed a successful FINTECH Algorithmic Investment fund with an enviable performance record, regulated by the FCA.

Prior to this recent venture, Matthew successfully managed several funds for high profile institutions and has been a consultant to the World Bank providing training to Banks in West Africa.


RAM SUBRAMANIAN
SENIOR MANAGER – REPORTING POLICY

Mr Ram Subramanian is Senior Manager – Reporting Policy within the Policy & Advocacy team at CPA Australia. Ram’s role involves effectively communicating key messages on financial reporting matters to finance professionals and others with a stake in business and social organisations.

His responsibilities include formulating policy positions on behalf of CPA Australia and its members and commenting on reporting developments, including input to developments in the not-for-profit and public sectors. Ram is also involved in the development of technical guidance and resources to CPA Australia’s membership and other stakeholders and representing CPA Australia in various forums.

Previously, Ram has worked in senior roles within the public practice sector in the United Kingdom for a number of years. Ram’s previous role involved managing the technical advisory services of a major professional accounting body in the United Kingdom.


TRACY TRACHSLER
CO-HEAD

TRACY TRACHSLER

Tracy is Co-Head of CV Labs, where she spearheads corporate and institutional engagement. Alongside parent company CV VC, an early-stage venture capital firm with a focus on startups that build on blockchain technology, Tracy and the CV Labs Team work to create a sprawling ecosystem that fosters entrepreneurship and innovation in the blockchain space through their incubation program, high-level events, advisory services, and public-private partnerships.

Prior to joining CV VC/CV Labs, Tracy served as Head of Business Relations and Corporate Strategy for a Swiss software development and marketing firm, spearheading several digitalization and blockchain projects for clients such as Tommy Hilfiger, Coca Cola, RockOn Digital, Calvin Klein, and more.

She holds an MA in Global Economy & Strategy from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea as well as an MA in International Affairs and Governance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland.

Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed is a Senior Manager of Corporate Sales at DMCC, the world’s leading Free Zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise.

Joining DMCC in 2014, Mohammed is responsible for promoting the benefits of doing business in Dubai and establishing a presence in DMCC.

Building strategic relationships is a key focus for Mohammed, and so too is engaging with local and international business communities at key industry events throughout the year.

With over 16 years of business development and corporate sales experience, Mohammed has worked alongside a number of senior figures in both the public and private sectors of the United Arab Emirates.

Mohammed earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the American University in Emirates.
