DMCC Tradeflow presents a broad platform for the trade and security of commodities.
Warehouse Inspection & Ratings Programme
Due to the perceived risks associated with providing finance against warehouse-stored assets, financiers are often reluctant to engage professional inspection services for such facilities. At DMCC, we have responded to this market need by implementing a formal Warehouse Inspection & Ratings Programme under our DMCC Tradeflow initiative that certifies storage operators and assigns a one-to-five star rating for their facilities based upon a series of criteria and obligations.
Interconnectivity with the gold trade
Launched in 2005 as the region’s first commodity derivatives exchange, the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) is the region’s leading derivatives exchange, and in 2012 the platform selected the DMCC Tradeflow system as the sole provider to handle all of the physical delivery needs. Our Central Registry allows clearing members and trading participants of DGCX to transfer the document of title for stored goods in the form of DMCC Tradeflow Warrants as a physical settlement for trades and the closing of contracts.
Escrow Services & Information Requests
DMCC handles a diverse range of trading relationships, connecting disparate parties from across the globe. Where barriers to communication or trust exist, physical commodity traders can add an additional layer of security to their transactions using the DMCC Tradeflow Escrow Service. In such instances, we act as the trusted party and facilitator for the transfer of title ownership between parties, issuing a Warrant and placing the goods in escrow until the moment payment is confirmed.
