Executive Chairman Ahmed Bin Sulayem, CEO Gautam Sashittal and Free Zone Executive Director Ahmad Hamza welcomed Hon. Peter Munya, Cabinet Secretary of Industry, Government of Kenya, Mr Kariuki Mugwe, Consul General, Kenyan Consulate in Dubai, Mr. Jeremiah Oringo and Mr. Joel Imitira, Aides to the CS, to the DMCC HQ today.

Following the visit by the Cabinet Secretary of ICT last month, the meeting highlights the strong existing connection between DMCC and the Kenyan business community, and explained how strengthening this relationship will only serve to benefit the economies of Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and Kenya. The visit also included a tour of the DDE, the leading diamond trading hub in the centre of the region and only World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) accredited exchange in the Middle East, the highly successful DMCC Tea Centre and the recently launched DMCC Coffee Centre.

The visit comes as part of DMCC’s commercial strategy to engage with target markets, underscore the ease of doing business with the world’s leading free zone, and highlight the emirate’s potential for international investors. DMCC is committed to driving global trade flows through the emirate, and regularly hosts visiting delegations to create new market opportunities.
