DMCC briefs Australian Ambassador on commercial opportunities in Dubai

H.E. Arthur Spyrou, Australian Ambassador to the UAE visited Almas Tower today for a briefing on the opportunities for Australian businesses in DMCC, the world’s most interconnected Free Zone, and the leading trade and enterprise hub for commodities.

The visiting delegation also included Anna Fedeles, Deputy Consul General and Trade Commissioner – Dubai as well as members of the Australian Trade Commission. The group was officially hosted by Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of DMCC and were taken on a guided tour of the facility in Jumeirah Lakes Towers.

Representatives of the 163 Australian businesses currently based in DMCC were also invited to the exclusive event where discussion centred on bilateral trade and how best to increase the commercial footprint of Australian firms in DMCC specifically, and the UAE as a whole.

The briefing is part of DMCC’s wider engagement programme – a series of private briefings and public networking events – designed to understand to the needs of the international business community and tailor its services to that end.
