Dubai Shariah Asset Management

Dubai Shariah Asset Management (DSAM) is a joint venture Islamic finance initiative between Dubai Commodity Asset Management, a division of DMCC, and Islamic finance providerShariah Capital. The aim of DSAM is to develop Shariah-compliant commodity-focused investments, and our initial product is an exclusive series of single strategy, transparent hedge fund strategies registered on the Al Safi Trust platform and marketed under the DSAM Kauthur brand name. Al Safi Trust ensures that our investor assets are directed into separately-managed accounts at Barclays Capital New York, where for the purpose of Shariah compliance, fund assets are never merged with other manager assets and always remain under the custody of Barclays. Their Net Asset Value (NAV) is calculated by independent administrator, Citco Fund Services.

DSAM Kauthar Funds

DSAM Kauthar Funds are Shariah compliant, uniquely transparent commodity-linked single-strategy alternative investment funds. Through the Al Safi Trust – a platform built by Shariah Capital that provides comprehensive Shariah financial advice, administration, and trustee oversight – investor assets are directed into separately-managed accounts at Barclays Capital New York, where they are managed by world-class investment management firms. For Shariah compliance purposes, fund assets are never co-mingled with other manager assets and always remain under the custody of Barclays. Their NAV’s are calculated and reported by an independent administrator, Citco Fund Services (Ireland), Ltd.Learn more.
