DMCC Authority hosts Chinese delegation
Dubai, UAE; 11 December 2010: The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Authority (‘DMCC’), the free zone authority for Jumeirah Lakes Towers (‘JLT’), hosted a Chinese trade delegation at its offices in the Almas Tower on December 9th 2011. The Chinese delegation’s visit to Dubai came as part of their participation in the 5th Annual Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (‘GPCA’) Forum.
The 35-strong Chinese company delegation visit was organised in partnership with the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Trade. Accompanying the delegation was HE Juma Mohammed al Kait, Assistant Undersecretary – Foreign Trade Affairs and Ms Dalal al Marri, Government Communications Department.
Currently, the DMCC is experiencing a growing interest from all over Asia but in particular China, Singapore and Thailand. DMCC has already attracted a substantial number of licensed member companies from Asia in the energy and petrochemical & chemical sectors. The free zone is home to over 2,600 member companies, with an average of 60 new companies registering each month.
Malcolm Wall Morris, Chief Executive Officer of the DMCC, said:
“The DMCC is honoured to have hosted this Chinese delegation and to be given the opportunity to present our unique offerings. We were able to showcase our innovative products and value-added services with a fit for purpose infrastructure that enables companies to become licensed and operational from JLT a ‘city within a city’ with modern infrastructure and freehold property.
