The Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) is designed to offer, support and host the sale and tender of diamonds. Throughout the process, the trading floor provides members with a private and secure trading environment complete with access cards, gem survey equipment, onsite safe storage, hospitality services, and shipping assistance.

In January 2005, DDE held the first tender for rough diamonds, the success of which prompted the first polished diamond auction of its type in the Middle East in January 2011, generating sales of more than US$20 million.

DDE attracts a large number of representatives of international diamond companies to these diamond tenders including those representing diamond dealers, suppliers and manufacturers from countries such as India, Belgium, Hong Kong, Japan and Thailand.
