Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Authority
Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the Executive Chairman of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Authority, a strategic initiative of the Government of Dubai to create a dynamic commodities market place in the region.
As Executive Chairman, Mr. Bin Sulayem drives DMCCA towards the realisation of its strategic vision and is responsible for leading the organisation’s strategies. He has spearheaded the success of the Centre in Dubai’s commodity market, in addition to guiding the set up of its property sector, since its establishment in 2002.
Mr. Bin Sulayem is also the Chairman of the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX), a DMCC joint venture initiative to set up the first derivatives and commodities exchange in the region, with electronic trading accessible from anywhere in the world.
In addition, he is closely involved with the various initiatives of DMCC including the Dubai Tea Trading Centre, the Dubai Gems Club, and the Dubai Pearl Exchange. He also brings in valuable experience to the Board and management team of the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE), where he holds the position of the Deputy Chairman.
Philip Caraiscos, Executive Director, Asset Management, DMCC
Chairman of Concordia and Mayor of JLT
As Executive Director - Asset Management, DMCC, Phillip Caraiscos’s immediate task is to bring life Jumeirah Lakes Towers (DMCC’s real estate component). Where he will be the “Mayor” at JLT to ensure that the voice of the people is not only heard, but addressed. In addition, he is also the Chairman of Concordia, the facilities management company that has been established by DMCC to provide post-construction services to the JLT community. Prior to joining DMCC, Caraiscos has worked with Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Authority as its Head of Facilities Management. Originally from Australia, Caraiscos is no stranger to large community populations having managed the country’s oldest and largest university campus for eight years, I addition to running the Australian Government’s Health Care hospitals facilities in Sydney, Caraiscos has completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Technology, Sydney.
